Looking up towards the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island as the sun is getting ready to set

Sweetest pup ever, you'd never know looking at him that he has liver problems and went through surgery is on medication and a special diet, poor guy can't even eat protein

Rescued momma and her two kittens enjoying the outdoors on our farm.

We fostered this kitten since birth from the Humane Society and was about to adopt him out when I swooped him back up and took him home.  He now lives happily on our farm climbing trees and having fun! We met a woman and her son at a parking lot and after seeing her son handle the kitten, I was horrified.  It reminded me of the crazy girl from the movie Nemo.  I told her that I was sorry but with her child acting that wild, I felt it was not in the best interest of the kitten to go with them.  Yep, I sure made an enemy that day!
Riding through the fields in the Spring.

Summer wild flowers

The look of unconditional love from my sweet pup.

Bright afternoon sun shining.

We rescued this momma cat at the humane society along with two of her kittens.  It appears that she's quite comfortable living at our place which she apparently thinks is a relaxing resort
 :)

These are some beautiful butterflies on the shore of a small lake in the Tennessee mountains.  They were flying everywhere the day we visited the lake.

Knock-out roses that I babied daily sure flourished with all that attention.

This is a photo taken of our American flag that sits up on our hill - it's fall after a rainy summer and the hills are high with hay.

This is Spirit, a cat that our family fostered from the Humane Society and who is now a permanent family member.

This is Ginger, a dog that came with our farm who had been abused by a former owner.  She will not allow us to pet her but she loves us dearly and always goes for walks with us.  She's having a wonderful time on our walk in this picture.  She's such a sweet girl!

This is looking up at our trees through the beautiful yellow flowers that some might call weeds ;)

My daughter and I made these shirts as she only wears retro clothing, such a flower child :)
